PRIVACY NOTICE — UNDER REVIEW
Privacy notice
Updated 17 October 2026. This notice explains how information is used when you visit the website or contact byDLB. Provider arrangements and retention for confirmed client work are under review; this notice will be updated when those arrangements are confirmed.
Who is responsible
Daniele La Brecciosa, trading as byDLB, is responsible for the personal information handled by the business. byDLB is UK-based and provides remote-first support; on-site support is arranged separately. Contact: daniele@bydlb.com. The geographic and correspondence address is available in the Legal notice.
Information you provide and why it is used
Our enquiry forms ask for your name, email address, enquiry type and message, with optional dates or timing. We use this information to understand and respond to your request, discuss suitability and prepare a proposal where appropriate. Submitting the form does not subscribe you to a mailing list. Please do not send passport details, payment information or unnecessary sensitive information at this stage.
If you commission support, any additional information needed for that work will be discussed separately. Any sharing with Italian professionals must fall within the authority agreed for the work.
Legal bases for handling enquiries
Where an individual asks about commissioning support, information needed to respond and prepare a proposal is used to take steps at their request before entering a contract. Information necessary to carry out an agreed contract with that individual is used to perform that contract.
For enquiries from people acting for a business, and other relevant professional correspondence, information is used under legitimate interests in responding to requests and managing professional relationships. This is limited to relevant communication that the person would reasonably expect. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests by contacting Dani.
Optional analytics is based on consent. An enquiry does not give permission to add you to a marketing mailing list.
Sending and handling enquiries
Enquiries are delivered to the business email using Resend. Your email address allows me to reply. If a submission cannot be confirmed, the form offers a prepared email that you can send from your own email application. A submission confirmation means the delivery service accepted the message; it does not guarantee inbox delivery or a response.
The website does not retain a separate database of enquiry messages. Messages and delivery records are handled by our email and delivery providers. Hosting providers also process technical request information to operate and protect the website.
Providers and international processing
The website is hosted through ChatGPT Sites, with Cloudflare infrastructure. Resend provides enquiry email delivery. Resend’s published documentation describes US data storage and contractual safeguards for international transfers; selecting an EU sending region does not keep all information in Europe. Its data processing addendum explains the arrangements. Resend states that email and log data is retained for 30 days on its Free, Pro and Scale plans; this is separate from how long byDLB keeps correspondence. Google (Gmail) hosts the business email inbox and processes enquiry correspondence. Applicable account-specific processing and international transfer arrangements for email and hosting remain to be confirmed.
Keeping enquiry information
Inactive enquiries that do not become agreed work are manually deleted from byDLB’s enquiry records and mailbox, including Trash, 90 days after the last substantive contact. A routine follow-up alone does not restart this period. Where an enquiry is still actively progressing, or you have agreed a later next step with Dani, the reason for keeping it and its next review date are recorded.
Information needed for confirmed work is handled separately from inactive enquiries. For confirmed client work, retention is reviewed according to the continuing relationship, accounting requirements and any need to establish or respond to legal claims. Specific retention arrangements will be provided with the service agreement. Delivery providers and hosting services manage their own operational records under their applicable arrangements; the 90-day enquiry period is not a promise that all provider logs or backups are erased at the same time.
Optional analytics
With your permission, Google Analytics measures website use, service-page visits, enquiry starts, enquiry-link clicks, email-link clicks and accepted form submissions. A link click is separate from an accepted submission. Our custom events exclude enquiry names, email addresses, messages, dates and submission identifiers. You can decline analytics and still use the website and enquiry form. You can change your choice through “Cookie preferences” in the footer. See our cookie information.
Google Analytics is currently set to retain event-level data for two months and user-level data for fourteen months, with the user-retention period reset on new user activity. These settings do not limit the retention of all aggregated reports. Analytics reports are accessed through Windsor.ai to help assess website performance; this connection does not add a separate visitor-tracking tag to the website.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your information, or object to its use. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it. Contact daniele@bydlb.com about your information. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office or another relevant supervisory authority.
